Your Hazard Communication Plan will be located below and in the IIPP manual: |
| Hazard Communication is
essential for every workplace, not only to comply with 29 C.F.R. § 1910.1200 and 8 C.C.R.
§ 5194, but to ensure that all hazardous materials and chemicals(including Prop 65
listings http://www.oehha.org/prop65/prop65_list/Newlist.html
) are identified, labeled properly, and Material Safety Data Sheets are
available for each of these materials and chemicals, so that employees are properly
trained in the hazards they may encounter in the workplace. In addition, Hazardous
Communication is also an important component of your Hazardous Materials Business Plan
required by California Health and Safety Code § 25500 et seq. This link will have your company Hazard Communication Program, as well as the site address for the external link to the Prop 65 Hazardous Chemical and Substance List that will assist you in updating the list quarterly for your Right-to-Know Station and MSDS Book. Update address for May 31, 2002 is http://www.oehha.org/prop65/prop65_list/Newlist.html
